Whats happening with the Lan vid guys??

I need a fire wire connection to convert the vid from cam to pc. Since I dont have my desktop pc anymore and our laptops dont have firewire I'm looking for a solution

I think my old camera takes them tapes, then i would firewire it to my computer. not sure if my desktop has firewire now, im sure one of the motherboards i have lying around does.
I'll check when i'm home next week.

Hey, can you not send the tape to a online shop and get them to put it to a DVD for you, then get them both sent back to you?.

ye can do but will cost me a fortune.
I found out my work laptop has mini fire wire. Now I need to get me a cable and off we go. Hopefully.
